Desempeñó los siguientes cargos públicos: Visitador de Oficinas Fiscales, Interventor Oficial de Bancos, Administrador del Ferrocarril al Pacífico y de la Aduana Central. A partir del año 1912 desempeñó el puesto de Administrador General de Licores. Además fue escritor público: redactó el Reglamento del Ferrocarril al Pacífico y otros folletos administrativos.
