Notas: Según la tradición oral conocida en el Laboratorio del Hospital San Juan de Dios, al morir el doctor Picado Twight, su viuda dejó a buen recaudo del hospital su biblioteca, de la cual aún se custodian varios ejemplares de diversa procedencia. El Doctor Picado Twight fue un destacado científico costarricense, reconocido internacionalmente por sus investigaciones y descubrimientos en el campo experimental sobre todo del suero antiofídico y la penicilina.
